Join the BHL Tree and Land Services Team
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Tree Trimming Technician to join our team at BHL Tree and Land Services, a well-established mid-sized tree service company. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tree trimming, pruning, and removal tasks, as well as operating various equipment and vehicles essential to these duties. This includes medium to heavy equipment, chainsaws of various types and sizes, and trucks with attached trailers. A valid driver’s license is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate chainsaws of various sizes and types to trim and prune trees according to company and industry standards.
- Safely use and operate medium to heavy-duty equipment such as stump grinders, wood chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Operate trucks with attached trailers to transport equipment, debris, and personnel to and from job sites.
- Perform tree and shrub maintenance, including the safe removal of deadwood, trimming, and shaping of trees and shrubs as well as clean up and detail at job completion.
- Assist with the removal of large trees, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Complete daily logs, report equipment issues, and maintain records of completed work
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in tree trimming, pruning, or related work, preferred.
- Knowledge of tree species, pruning techniques, and safe work practices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate chainsaws, trucks with trailers, and medium to heavy equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments.
- Knowledge of safety standards, practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not required.
- Certification in tree care or arborist training is a plus.
- First aid and CPR certification.
